Hi Camas Ridge Families,

We wanted to give folks some information about how to get to school safely and easily!

First, if possible, walk, bike, scoot, skate, or take the bus. It’s good for your health and keeps our campus safer with fewer cars.

We have bike parking in front and back of the building and even have skateboard parking! And if you are walking please don’t forget that dogs must stay on the public sidewalk, not on campus or in our parking lot area. 

If you’re driving and want to park and walk your student to the school, use street parking on University, Harris, or the north side of 29th. Do not park on 29th on the school side of the street—that’s for buses only. 

There will also be NO PARKING in the main lot in front of the building for morning drop-off or afternoon pick-up. 

MORNING DROP OFF FOR DRIVING FAMILIES:

We recommend approaching the drop off loop from Harris.

Once you turn into the lot you will encounter a staff person helping manage traffic, be kind and be patient! At the first stop sign, turn left and follow the clockwise loop - this is ONE WAY TRAFFIC, so once you enter, you are in the loop until you get all the way around.

• Drop off your child ONLY in the designated drop zone in front of the building. 

• Children must exit on the driver’s side. 

• This is a quick drop-off area. If you want to walk your child to the door, please park on the street locations mentioned above.

• Remember, this is a school: Drive slowly, stay alert, and prioritize safety over speed.

MORNING DROP OFF FOR WALK-UP FAMILIES:

Kindergarten & First Grade:

Our kinder students will enter at the South East doors. Kinder parents are welcome to walk their students into the building & to the kindergarten classrooms, or to the cafeteria for breakfast. 

First Grade will also enter through the South East doors in the morning.  

Second & Third Grade: 

Second & Third grade students will enter through the main doors & go through the breezeway to the blacktop for line up. Second & Third graders having breakfast will enter through the South East entrance. 

Fourth & Fifth Grade: 

Fourth & Fifth grade students will enter through the main doors & go through the breezeway to the blacktop for line up. Fourth & Fifth graders having breakfast will enter through the South East entrance. 

AFTERNOON PICK-UP FOR ALL FAMILIES:

There will also be NO PARKING in the main lot in front of the building for afternoon pick-up. Drivers should plan to park on the street & wait in the designated areas for pick-up. 

Kindergarten & First Grade:

Our kinder & first grade students will exit through the South East doors. for car pick up. They will be lead out by Staff who will assist them in getting into their vehicles.
Kinder and 1st grade students walking or busing will be lead out by staff and placed on bus or will wait in designated area with their teacher for parents to pick up.

Second & Third Grade: 

Our 2nd and 3rd grade students will exit through the main doors. for car pick up. They will be out front in the appropriate area waiting for their vehicle pick up.
2nd and 3rd grade students walking or busing will be lead out by staff or will wait in designated area with their teacher for parents to pick up.

Fourth & Fifth Grade: 

Our 4th  and 5th grade students will exit through the main doors. for car pick up. 4/5 students will be out front in the appropriate area waiting for their vehicle pick up.
