Hi Camas Ridge Families,

I just wanted to make sure that you all have information again about what Wednesday, September  3rd- First Day of School for Kindergarten will look like.

Arrival

• In the front of the school we will have a picture stop, at the main entry way. 
• If you continue towards 30th Ave you will come to the next set of entry doors where you will be greeted by our staff.
• There you will find your students name tag and provide information to our staff at the table about how your student will get home that first day.
• Students will then be brought to the cafeteria/gym to gather.
• Parents will drop off students and then exit the building.
• All meals are free and students will be given an opportunity to eat breakfast in the morning.

KinderZone we are having Kinder drop off in the cafeteria/gym day one on September 3rd.

For the rest of the time we will have drop off in B108 until we have class placements. If your Kinder is not being dropped off by you and will take the bus to school, they will be able to stay in the cafeteria until the first bell rings (at which point they will be escorted to B108)

If you are dropping off your Kinder and want them to eat breakfast you may go with them into the cafeteria/gym and get them situated (Parents please understand this is only for Kinder parents)

If you are dropping your student off and want to walk them in we ask that you find parking on one of the side streets as our parking lot is not open for parking during arrival or dismissal. 

Additionally, line up outside of the South East doors close to the 30th walk/bike bridge.

Please do not leave your Kinder in line until we have opened this door and are letting students enter the building. If you want your Kinder to eat breakfast or they will be arriving by bus then we will make sure that they get to classrooms for KinderZone.

The first day of school for our Kindergartner’s is Wednesday September 3rd, 2025 (Group A & B).

Group A Kindergartners Attend School Thursday September 4th, 2025 and Group B stays home. 

The next day Group B Kindergartners Attend School on Friday September 5th, 2024 and Group A stays home. 

The second week of school starts on September 8th through the 10th, both groups of Kindergartners will be at school each day. Then on Thursday (Sept.11) and Friday (Sept. 12) Kindergarten students do not come to school to allow for teachers and families to meet and discuss their students. The staggered start of the school year helps set up Kinders for success this year and beyond at 4j. Smart Start calendar
