Camas Ridge Community School

Last Day of School/ Clapout

Posted Date: 6/12/25 (11:20 PM)

HI Camas Ridge Families,
Today we had a very special end of day activity, the 5th grade vs. Staff game. This year we played flag football and the students who participated had a good time (as did the staff).

Tomorrow is our last day of school, can you believe it? Parents/ Guardians we are asking that students wear their Camas Ridge tshirts they got this year (they are class specific K, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5) so we can create a rainbow when all worn together. If your kiddo has them clean and is willingly to wear them please have them do so.

We will dismiss students at 11:10am, students will go home with a sack lunch, report cards  (please look for them) and other classroom specific items in their backpacks.

Finally, we will have a 5th grade clap out at the end of the day tomorrow. Please see the information for it below:

5th Grade Clap-Out Timeline & Details

10:55 AM – Clap-Out Line Formation Begins

  • Students will be dismissed in waves: Kindergarten, then 1st2nd3rd, and finally 4th grade.

  • Each class will form two lines on either side of the pink path on the playground (e.g., Kinder across from Kinder, 1st grade across from 1st grade, etc.).

  • The tunnel of cheering students will end near the playground staircase, leaving space for 5th grade parents to gather and take photos of the students as they exit.

Music will be playing as the 5th graders walk through the tunnel to make it festive and fun!

11:00 AM – 5th Grade Walk Begins

  • 5th graders (with their backpacks and belongings) will exit their classrooms, walk down the upstairs hallway, and head to the south staircase.

  • They’ll make their way outside and walk through the Clap-Out Tunnel as staff, students, and families cheer them on.

Parent Info:

  • Parents should arrive by 10:50 AM to find a spot near the side black gate and be ready to take photos and celebrate with their kids at the end of the clap-out line.

11:05 AM – Wrap-Up

Thank you for a great year,

Principal Hobie
