This year, our elementary students visited the library each week for a fun and enriching experience! They enjoyed engaging read-alouds and participated in a variety of enrichment activities. Throughout the year, students built important skills in digital citizenship, research, and media literacy. They learned how to use databases to find reliable information, how to think critically about media, and how to be responsible digital citizens. We're proud of all they’ve accomplished in the library this year!
Students checked out 6,946 books, and we added 753 titles to the collection! There are still 158 overdue, so please be on the lookout for those items. All library books were due 5/30.
I am sending home optional summer reading logs for students to complete. If they fill out their log, they can return it to the school library in the fall for a prize! Additionally, students are bringing home their Sora login information this week and next, which gives them access to the 4J Digital Library app. It includes instructions to access the app. Thank you for supporting your students in their reading goals!
