Artist in Residence

Over the last few weeks Merit has worked with 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students to produce some awesome artwork on silk.

This is an example of some student work that was painted while the silk fabric was strectched over a frame. Students really have enjoyed this work with this wonderful artist.

Volunteer Appreciation 2025

We want to say thank you again to all the volunteers that our wonderful school community has and we know that while we had a lot of you there on Friday, there were still others who could not make it. So please know that our school appreciates everything you do on behalf of our students. Thank you

LOCKDOWN Drill 4/30/2025

We would like to inform you that Camas Ridge Community School will be conducting a practice Lockdown drill on Wednesday April 30th, 2025.

Drills are for staff and students, and are educational opportunities to practice life safety skills. For example, evacuation drills/fire drills are conducted at schools regularly. A fire alarm goes off, students line up and head outside. Since there is no simulation of a threat or hazard, these cause less trauma while imparting important skills and muscle memory. Lockdown drills are similar. There is no simulated violence needed to conduct them. The only information needed is for the protocol to be enacted, “Lockdown, locks, lights, out of sight,” and then students and staff perform the proper functions.
For all our drills, we use the I Love You Guys Standard Response Protocols. We encourage you to look at the I Love You Guys website to educate yourself on what it is. And, if appropriate, to share what you’ve learned with your child. https://iloveuguys.org/The-Standard-Response-Protocol.html

The safety and well-being of your child is our top priority. We will continue to keep you informed about important concerns at our school.
