SLUGGO
Sluggo's Homerun Reading Challenge
Hey Families we really had a great time on Tuesday this last week with Sluggo the Eugene Emeralds mascot. He came out with a group of Ems reps to tell us all about the reading challenge and we even had a special guest appearance from Dr. Beaker Breaker.
WHOLE SCHOOL ASSEMBLY

Students all received a bookmark to keep track of their books that they have read and reading. We also wanted to let you know that if you are reading to your kiddos to pleae have them list those books on their bookmarks. Bookmarks are due on March 21st, 2025. We will turn them in and your student will receive two tickets to an Ems game this spring/summer.
Change in No School Day
When we return in April, some of you may have noticed or received communication from the district that April 18th is no longer a "No School" day. This day was shifted to a week earlier to April 11th.

SEED Survey
Parents of 3rd-5th Grade Students
We will start our spring assessments at the end of April and in addition it is required that we give all students the opportunity to take the SEED (Student Educational Equity Development) survey this year.
A flyer is attached that explains what the SEED survey is and what languages are available for students.
In addition to the flyer here is a pdf that has both information about the survey as well as an opt out form for parents. Students and parents can opt out and schools are required to notify parents five days prior to giving the survey.
We will not start with this until mid April.

Thank you
CT Fun
Wanted to also add a quick note that during CT in Friday we will have an end of the day quick glow stick dance in our CT classrooms.
It will also be Music teacher Tom's last day until he rejoins us in right before the school year is over in June. We will be wishing Tom well and excited to welcome him back in June.
