Getting Settled

Hello Camas Families,

It’s been great to connect with many students and families. We have reached our full schedule and hope everyone is getting settled into these new routines. These new schedules are challenging for all of us and I believe we will continue to find ways to make the routines and schedules easier.

Office Hours & Fall Conferences

I have begun regular office hours Mondays and Fridays 1:30-2:30 and Monday evenings 5:00-6:00 (by appointment) to meet with you or your child.

  • To schedule a specific time to reserve your time, please follow this scheduling link
  • or feel free to drop in at this zoom link (if drop-in, you may wait in waiting room to ensure confidentiality).

If would like to meet with me (to discuss resources, strategies for doing school from home, emotional support, etc.) during Fall Conferences, please schedule a time here

Visit my Virtual Counseling Space & Website

In this virtual and distanced world, it’s hard to maintain connections. I’ve created a couple resources and platforms that may help with communication and access.Explore my virtual classroom: Camas Virtual Counseling Space

Inclusion

We often address the topic of inclusion in October. Inclusion is an all-embracing philosophy; including and involving others in-spite of and because their differences often make us all better people and communities. Below is one of my favorite videos on inclusion.

Need Help or Connection to Resources?

If your family is in need of any additional resource, whether it is food, clothing, school supplies, parenting supports, mental health supports or something else, please do not hesitate to reach out.

We will always do what we can to help!

Use this Google Form to request support: https://forms.gle/W5VzfcyBtMWKhwdYA

Need Clothing?

Every year, the Assistance League of Eugene partners with Fred Meyer to provide shopping events for children in need of clothing. We have some slots available for student shopping the first week of November. If your child is in need of clothing, please complete this request form. If you cannot access the form, please e-mail hock_j@4j.lane.edu or call 541-760-6199.
