What’s Happening at Camas Ridge 5/1/20 – Kindergarten Enrollment, EWEB Assistance and School Attendance

Good Morning Camas Ridge Families,

Thanks for all who could come and pick up student belongings this week. It was wonderful to see so many kids and families.  We miss you!

If you were not able on Tuesday or Wednesday, please know that we are working on setting some additional times and finding ways to get these items to you.  Look for that information in a separate email.

Kindergarten Enrollment

We are picking up where we left off on planning for kindergarten at Camas Ridge in the fall.  Please fill out this form if you are planning on enrolling a kindergartener with us in September.  Feel free to share this link with anyone you know who has a kindergarten student headed our way.

EWEB Assistance

EWEB’s assistance program opens this morning at 9:00am and is first come first serve (unfortunately).  The April money went fast!  This Friday, May 1, a new pot of money opens up and will again be first come first serve!  This assistance includes $260 credit to your EWEB bill if needed/helpful. If this is of use to you, please  call right away and keep at it on Friday (and again on Monday).

Attendance During Distance Learning – Please connect with your child’s teacher if you have not yet this week.

Students’ participation in distance learning will be noted on a weekly basis. If your student “attends” a class by engaging during a given week by submitting an assignment on seesaw, connecting with the teacher via email, videoconference or phone call—they will be marked present for the week.  If the classroom teacher has not interaction with a student in a week, that student will be marked absent for the period.  This is by no means meant to be punitive and we know that families are doing the best they are able to engage with distance learning.  We are trying to stay connected with our kids and families at this time and will follow up to see how we can assist.  If we did not have an interaction with your child during this week, you’ll get a call noting the absence. Please let us know if you have any questions.

Thanks for all you are doing to support kids at this time.

Best,

Kevin
