Dear Camas Community School Families,
We had such a quick week and we have so much going on in the next month.
In this issue:
Classified Appreciation Week: Community Support Needed
Next week is Classified Appreciation Week & we are celebrating our wonderful Classified Staff at Camas Ridge all week long! The Camas Ridge Community Organization alongside with the Camas Sunshine Committee are kicking off the week with a Bagel Breakfast Bar on Monday morning, they are also hosting a community supported Bowls of Love Soup Luncheon on Thursday. We are looking for Camas community members to donate food & help with setup & cleanup. You can sign-up here to help.
March is all about Reading: Read-a-Palooza Fundraiser, the Sluggo Reading Challenge, Read-a-Palooza BINGO Night
Families will find a ton of information in their Friday Folders this week centering reading & literacy. We are kicking off our Read-a-Palooza Fundraiser next week & your packets are in your Friday Folders. You can learn all about Read-a-Palooza on the Camas Ridge Community Organization website: www.camasridgepto.org/readapalooza, the goal this year is to raise $5000 (about $20/student will get us there!). You will also find information about the Sluggo Reading Challenge and student summer reading programs!
Camas Ridge Shirt Sale Fundraiser EXTENDED TO MARCH 7TH!

We have extended our shirt sale fundraiser to next Friday March 7th! This is your last chance to get Camas swag for this school year. We have shirts (short sleeve, long sleeve & baseball) as well as sweatshirts (hooded or crew) in sizes from Youth to Adult 4X. Get your order in before it's too late! GOLDEN APPLE AWARDS NOMINATIONS OPEN
SHOW YOUR APPRECIATION! Nominate a valued 4J employee or volunteer for our annual Golden Apple Awards at 4j.lane.edu/goldenapple.
Who do you appreciate? An inspiring teacher? An encouraging classified employee? An administrator who leads by example? An amazing volunteer who gives their all? Now is the time to recognize their contributions. Employees also can be nominated for the new Apple Seed award for early-career staff, the Lifetime Achievement award or the 4J Spotlight award (for individuals or teams).

NEW! Internet Safety Video Series.
As part of our district's ongoing commitment to student safety and well-being, we’re excited to introduce SCREEN SENSE—a five-part video series created in partnership with the University of Oregon. The 3-minute videos are designed to help families navigate the ever-changing digital landscape and support safe, healthy internet use for school-aged children.
