Halloween Serpentine Parade, Oct 31st 8am
We are looking forward to our Camas Ridge tradition! Classes will wind like a serpent through the school in a parade to show off their costumes. We realize that Halloween is different for all ages of students and in an effort to make this event enjoyable for all our kids please note our costume dress code:
No weapons or weapon-like props
Do not dress as another ethnicity, race, religion or culture
Leave especially scary or gory costumes at home (those that would scare a kindergarten student) or modify those costumes to be school appropriate.
Any masks must be taken off after the parade for the remainder of the day
If you are not sure about the appropriateness of a costume, please ask Principal Kevin
Students will be asked to change clothes if attire is inappropriate
If for any reason you would prefer that your child not participate, an alternate activity will be offered in the gym.
Please note that students will still have recess and any other activities that they regularly have during a day. Please send them to school with an extra set of clothes they can change into if they do not want to wear their costume for the entire day. In addition, please make sure they have a coat, proper shoes, etc. so that they can participate fully in the rest of the school day. We are looking forward to a safe, respectful and fun Halloween!
Best,
Principal Kevin
