New Project Classes Begin Monday!
When your students come home from school on Monday ask them to tell you about their new project class. What is it about? What will you learn? Who’s your teacher? Who’s in your class? Are you excited?

Prospective New Family Orientation and Tours
It’s hard to believe but the 2015 – 2016 School Choice season is upon us. We will welcome prospective new families with an orientation to Camas Ridge followed by a tour of the school.

Orientation and tours happen Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 8:00 – 9:15. Download 4J School Tours Schedule here

Sock Hop A Thon Kick Off Assembly Wed. 12:30
Put on your dancing shoes and get ready for the Camas Ridge Sock Hop a Thon! This Wednesday at 12:30, we will kick off this important fundraiser with an exciting and fun filled assembly. Students will solicit pledges until the day of the Sock Hop a Thon. The actual Sock Hop a Thon will take place on Friday Feb. 13. More info to come…

Report CardFriday – No School Grading Day
Friday is a no school day. Teachers will be working diligently to complete your child’s first report card of the 2014 – 2015 school year. Report cards will arrive in homes on Friday Feb. 13.

Art, Peace, Freedom & Respect

Last week was an amazing example of a school coming together as a community to show it’s collective commitment to art, peace, freedom and respect.  I feel fortunate and I must say humbled to be a small part of the Camas Ridge Community.

No School Monday – MLK and Respect

For the past two weeks, student’s have been focusing on the relationship between the concept of “Respect” and works of Martin Luther King Parents are encouraged to celebrate the legacy of MLK and discuss how Respect looks and feels at home and in the community.

Camas Families are encouraged to take a break and enjoy a meal or a special treat at the Oakway Mucho Gusto & Dickie Yo’s.

PTO Meeting Tuesday 6:30 – 8:00

All Camas Parents are cordially invited to attend the PTO meeting. It’s a great way to meet other Camas parents and to stay up to date on what’s happening at Cams Ridge. No potluck this time – Fundraiser at Mucho Gusto. Pick up your food there and come to us!

Next week promises to be a busy, productive and inspiring week at Camas Ridge.

Art Walk – Thursday 6:00 – 8:00 pm.
This year Art Walk will start at 6:00 p.m. and we will not have a spaghetti feed. The students are really excited to showcase their art for family and friends.

MLK Assembly & March – Friday 12:30 – 1:30
Friends and family members are encouraged to join all 420 Camas Ridge students as they assemble and march to show their support and appreciation for Martin Luther King.
