Laughing PlanetRestaurant of the Month – Tuesday, Oct. 28
Families are encouraged to dine at Laughing Planet next to P.C. Market of Choice next Tuesday. Proceeds go to Camas Ridge School.

Halloween Friday, Oct. 31 Halloween Serpentine Parade 8:15 – 8:45ish
Students may come to school in costume or change when they get to school. Costumes may not be violent, gory, scary or include real or imaginary weapons. If it might scare a kinder then it isn’t allowed. Face paints that smear onto books are not allowed. Masks are allowed but only during the parade.

Students may see Tom if they have questions regarding their costume. We will return to business as usual immediately following the Serpentine at 8:45. Parents who prefer that their child not participate in the Serpentine Parade may bring their children to school at 8:45 or request that their child goes to the library rather than participate in the parade

Bowling!! Saturday, Nov. 8 3:00 – 6:00 Southtowne Lanes
Bowling (with automatic bumpers for the kids), Shoe Rental, and Open Pool Tables. Families may bring their own food or purchase meals or beverages from the snack bar or a nearby restaurant. Cost: $4.00 Single Ticket, – $15.00 Family Ticket – $50.00 Lane Sponsor

We are in the third week of our fall Direct Drive Campaign and we really need your help to reach our goal of raising $15,000.00 to help provide literacy support for students in grades K-3. Kelly TerwilligerStory Telling with Kelly – Sunday 2:30 Downtown Library
There’s a new activity for kids and family every Sunday at 2:30 at the Downtown Library. This week, join Camas Ridge’s favorite storyteller Kelly Terwilliger for “Stories of Stones,” a show of stories about magical pebbles, talking boulders, and more. Then create a home for a pet rock of your own.

Common Core Information Night, Monday 7:00pm @SEHS
District representatives will provide parents with information related to the Common core Standards and the New OAKS testing system.

PTO Meeting-Tuesday 6:30-8:00
Parents are cordially invited to attend the PTO meeting on Tuesday. We will discuss upcoming activities and Donna Van Deurzen (formerly Dubois) will give an upbeat and engaging presentation on Project Based Learning at Camas Ridge. We are looking forward to a fun, productive meeting.

TAG Testing-Friday, Oct. 24
We will conduct our first TAG (Talented and Gifted) testing session of the year on Friday, Oct. 24. Parents who have questions about TAG or would like their student tested for TAG eligibility should e-mail Tom,maloney@4j.lane.edu. We will conduct another TAG testing session in November and one in April.

Pruebas para el programa TAG, viernes 24 de octubre
Tendremos nuestra primera ronda de pruebas para el programa TAG (para niños con talentos especiales) este viernes el 24 de octubre.  Padres y madres con preguntas acerca del programa o que quieren que su hijo o hija tome la prueba deben contactar a Tom, maloney@4j.lane.edu.  Habrán otras pruebas TAG en noviembre y abril.
